Level 1: Basics

Level 2: Higher-Order Thinking

Basic workshop where you learn to develop thinking and cognitive skills through the tactile method FundaMental training material.

The aim is for participants to:

  • Gain basic knowledge about the differences in how different senses activate basic cognitive processes
  • Understand the special potentials of training through the tactile sense
  • Gain key knowledge about children’s cognitive development and basic cognitive skills
  • Gain experience with mediation and tactile based cognitive training
  • Gain experience in identifying cognitive challenges using the tactile method
  • Be able to initiate tactile-based cognitive training using the FundaMental™ Tactile Learning training material

Workshop where you strengthen your knowledge and skills from the basic tactile method course and learn about the more complex training levels of FundaMental Tactile Learning.

The aim is for participants to:

  • Gain knowledge and skills to implement tactile training at the more complex training levels
  • Gain a better understanding of the rationale behind tactile-based cognitive training
  • Become more familiar with the tactile training method
  • Gain increased knowledge about variation options in training
  • Get the opportunity to discuss their own practical experiences with the tactile training method
  • Be able to improve quality and efficiency when working with tactile-based cognitive training

Level 3: Assessor & Supervisor

Level 4: Trainer

This workshop builds on your experience with tactile training. You will gain skills in using the tactile method to identify cognitive skill challenges in children and young people, develop training plans and advise others in using the tactile method and the FundaMental training material .

The aim is for participants to:

  • Learn to use the tactile method as a qualitative assessment tool based on the principles of dynamic assessment
  • Gain systematized knowledge of how different skill challenges are expressed when working tactilely
  • Get an overview of the different variations and ways to work with the tactile training method
  • Gain knowledge of how training can be targeted to specific cognitive skill areas

This level consists of three parts:

  • A targeted trainer workshop
  • Mentor participation in a Level 1 or Level 2 workshop
  • Supervision of first independent teaching assignment at a level 1 workshop

The aim is for participants to:

  • Have an in-depth understanding of the tactile-based cognitive training method
  • Have a thorough understanding of the FundaMental training materials and their structure and built-in didactics
  • Gain experience teaching future FundaMental practitioners

Access to trainer training is based on individual application and assessment of qualifications and experience with FundaMental Tactile Learning
