Why we created FundaMental™

Other training programs

Recent brain and learning research has shown that we can develop our cognitive capacity and skills – if only we know how! The vast majority of cognitive training programs rely on digital and screen-based training. But in a visual screen-based culture, today’s children and young people often need training in basic cognitive skills that are more effectively trained using tactile tangible materials. This became the basis for the development of FundaMental™. Through our years of experience with cognitive development programs, it became clear to us that there was a lack of a training method that focuses on developing basic cognitive skills. A program where material, methodology, and goals are geared towards developing a solid foundation for thinking, learning and problem solving.

Building on a solid foundation

The FundaMental™ material and methodology integrates extensive knowledge about learning, cognition and neuropsychology from prominent theorists such as Piaget, Vygotsky, Feuerstein and others.

Developed by Danish specialists in learning and cognition

The FTL materials have been developed by an educational psychologist specialising in cognitive development, and an associate professor of education with many years’ experience as a lecturer, teacher and trainer in a range of cognitive development programmes. We’ve taken all our knowledge and experience from years of facilitating child development and put it into FundaMental™.
